At the end of the half day programme the participants concluded that for getting maximum benefit out of their hospital setup all departments like HR, Finance, Marketing, Operations need to work in sync. Some of the basic but most important processes in a hospital like material management, inventory management need to be given more importance. Need of a seamless Hospital Information System for effective management of resources was also appreciated.
The workshop saw experts from across the country to assemble and give valuable input to the gathered audience. Dr Mohan Nair, leading ISO consultant and Managing Director of Nair’s hospital started the event with a talk on ISO standards in hospitals, which effectively set the mood for rest of the show. Another highly appreciated talk by the audience was given by Software Associates’ Director Mr Duleep Sahadevan on Cost reduction techniques at various departments of a Hospital. Overall the participants really enjoyed the event and readily wished for more of such programmes in future.For them the event was not only a learning opportunity but also a perfect destination to de stress themselves and enjoy blue waters of Quilon. The scenic view from the conference hall added to the workshop environment and the food served, a mix of north and south Indian cuisine was greatly cherished.
